NATURE
"Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet." Thich Nhat Hanh
What do you feel when you see the first leaves of autumn turning? And what do you hope for when you hear the robin beckoning spring? Have you ever stood still to feel the Earth turning, or swum in water so clear it washes away your pain?
Nature is governed by patterns that, if closely observed, inform our understanding of what it means to be part of this world. The Smoky Mountains provide a unique context for such contemplation. These small-group offerings bring us into loving contact with the outer landscape in hopes of inspiring compassion for our inner landscape, greater respect for all beings, and careful stewardship of our precious home.
