Personalized Yoga for Healing
Service Description
In this individualized and whole-person approach, I create a Yoga practice tailored to your specific needs, comfort level, and goals. The first session is an intake - we will discuss your food and sleep habits, daily routine, and health history, and then explore some simple movements and breathing. In the follow-up sessions, I will teach you a personal practice for you to do on your own, inviting you to become an active participant in your healing. Your practice may include a combination of appropriate āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma (breath work), meditation, sound, journaling/art, and lifestyles changes. Each subsequent class will ensure that your practice progressively helps you move toward a state of balance. Yoga therapy is not a quick-fix solution; rather, it requires commitment from both of us. Please prepare to take at least 6 classes (in addition to the intake) and to do your practice regularly as recommended, in order to see results. This option is suited for adults and teens in any condition, who are experiencing imbalance physically, mentally, and/or emotionally. Previous students have used their Yoga therapy practice to manage or improve many conditions - pregnancy, back pain, heel spurs, cancer, neuropathy, anxiety, depression, grief, insomnia, disturbed digestion, and more. Sliding scale rates are available.
